Doing the dishes
My husband and I purchased our home in 2008. Prior to that, we rented a house with no dish washer. That was horrible at the holidays when I had a ton of dishes to do. When we bought our house, it did not have a dish washer in it. We decided to update our entire kitchen and install a dish washer. I chose to have all black appliances which goes well with the oak cabinets we had installed.
Every time the holidays roll around, there is always a ton of dishes to do and I am glad that I do not have to do them all by hand anymore! It is so much more convenient to just load up the dishes and walk away.
Our kitchen is slowly coming along and I just had a new floor put down several months ago. We purchased an older home so there is a lot of work to be done, mostly updating. There is a lot of work, sweat and tears that we have put into our home. I love older homes because they have so much character, so therefore, all the updating is worth it!
