Reasons that I coupon

There has been a lot of speculation and debate about the show "Extreme Couponing". Some people love it and some people hate it. I coupon but I don't "extreme coupon". That takes a lot of time and effort, and I give credit to those that do it. I love saving money and do the best that I can to cut corners when it's available to me. I have gotten some people who have said they love couponing and they love the show and others have commented that they don't like it at all because it is too extreme. It is possible to save money and it is possible to get things for free. I've learned that the more time you put into it, the more you get out of it. The people on the show have said they literally work on matching coupons and getting coupons for 40+ hours a week, which is a full time job. I have saved a lot of money and I wanted to let you know it is possible to get great deals by doing a little homework. Again, a little homework = a little savings and extreme homework = extreme savings (which I do not have time to do, although I would love to be able to get $600 worth of groceries for like $1 but I'm just not that good). Okay, so back to my reality. I took some pictures of my stock pile, and yes I have gotten all of this for FREE or very close to it (a $1 or so)



The drawers are filled to the brim! I can in no way compare my stock pile to those on the show, but this is my stockpile and I am proud of it :)
